Forlogis LMS allows you to create as many individual lessons as you want using your content. It's never been easier to organize your curriculum into orderly lessons.

Learning Objective

In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps of creating a lesson.

Create A Lesson

To begin, open up your admin panel and go into the "Courses" section. Next, search for the course where you want to create the lesson. You can use the "Filter" function in the top right corner or do it manually at the bottom of the page. Once you find the course, click the three dots in the top right corner, and then select "Edit."

Once you’re in the course settings, go into the "Lessons" section. To add a new lesson, simply press "Add Lesson" in the top right corner. Afterward, you can fill in the name of the lesson. Once you name the lesson, you have the option to embed videos. You can choose your Wistia videos or use the embed code to embed videos from other platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. The process of embedding videos will be explained in a separate tutorial.

Afterward, you have the option to assign this lesson to a particular module.

Once the lesson has been assigned to a particular module, you can set up the weekly plan. The weekly plan enables you to plan out when the lesson will be shown to your users. To demonstrate, if you set "Days To Show" to seven days, your users will see this specific lesson after seven days of joining. "Date To Show" works in a similar fashion. The only difference is that you can set a specific date when all your users will be able to view the specific lesson. To demonstrate, if you set "Date To Show" to July 1, 2022, all your members will view it only after that date.

Once you’re done with setting your weekly plan, you can proceed and set up your gamification credits. Gamification improves the user experience, allows your users to retain more information, and makes them feel more satisfied with your course. The details of how to set up gamification will be covered in a subsequent tutorial.

Afterward, you can add a description to summarize the main learning points of the lesson. Additionally, there is also an option for you to add an image to your lesson. This function, however, only works if you do not include any video or audio resources in the lesson. This means that for the majority of the lessons, you won’t need to upload any images.

Next, there is also an option for you to change multiple further settings of the lesson:

"Is Free?"

The "Is Free?" setting enables you to make the lesson accessible to your free members as well.

"Disable Comments?"

The "Disable Comments?" setting disables comments for the lesson.

"Don't Show In Weekly Plan"

The "Don't Show in Weekly Plan" setting hides the lesson from the weekly plan.

"Enable Lesson Notes"

The "Enable Lesson Notes" setting enables your users to take notes under the lesson.

When you've finished filling out all of the information, click "Submit Lesson." Your lesson will be submitted and available for your users.
