Manage Course Categories

Forlorgis LMS allows you to organize your courses into an unlimited number of categories, allowing your students to have a better user experience when looking for their next course.
Learning Objective
In this tutorial, we’re going to walk you through how to create, edit, or delete course categories as well as how to add courses into those categories.
Course Categories
The first thing you want to do is click in the top right corner on the button called "Categories." Once you do that, you will see all of the categories that you have created, as well as the option to add a new category.
Adding A New Category
To add a new category, click the button "Add category", then name it and add your image. Once you've done that, just hit the "Save" button, and your category will be saved.
Admin Panel > Courses > Categories > Add Category > Add All Required Information > Press "Save"
Deleting A Category
If you want to delete a category, all you have to do is just click the "Delete" icon. Once you do that, the pop-up will ask you to confirm that you want to delete the category. And you just click "Yes, I want to delete." and the category will be deleted.

Editing A Category
If you want to edit a category that you already have, just click on the category, rename it or change the image, and hit the "Save" button, similar to when you're adding a new category.
Admin Panel > Courses > Categories > Click On A Category You Want To Edit > Make Your Changes > Press "Save"
Adding Courses To Your Categories
If you want to add courses to your categories, what you have to do is just go back to the "Courses" section, open up the course you want to add to a category, head over to "Edit Details," and in the second row, you’re going to see a section named "Course Category." Here, just select the category that you want to add your course to, and that course will be automatically added to that particle category.
Admin Panel > Courses > Select A Course > Edit Details > Select Course Category > Press "Save"
Hiding Empty Categories
On Forlogis LMS, we also give you the option to hide empty categories. So, if you have created some categories but haven't assigned any courses to them yet, you have the option to hide them from your users. To do that, just head over to "Settings", click "Platform Settings", click "Features", and just click "Hide Unavailable Categories." This feature will hide all of the categories that have no courses in them.
Admin Panel > Settings > Platform Settings > Features > Hide Unavailable Categories
